Users of the iPhone 4 have experienced different problems with their speakers. They say that sometimes, the phone’s speaker will stop working like it doesn’t produce any sounds. There are also times that even the speaker is not working, you can still hear sounds from the phone once you inserted its headphone into the jack. These issues are only few. In here, different kinds of troubles with iPhone 4 speakers will be mentioned below and some tips that could help you will also be provided.

iPhone 4 Speaker not Working

If you are using iPhone 4, its one common problem is the speaker. You might experience the following with your genius phone.
1. You can only hear sounds when it rings but not when you are receiving messages and notifications; and
2. No Sounds at All
In case you are experiencing the above issues, you may try to do the following:
• You can try cleaning your headphone jack. For cleaning, use a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol.
• Check if your phone will work in headphones. If it does, this means that your phone is still in a good condition. Perhaps, your headphone jack sensor has dust or dirt on it. You must try to insert the headphone for several times into the jack. This will help.
• Try to reboot your phone. Turn off the phone and then turn it on again.
• You can also try to reset your phone by going to ‘Settings App’. When you are in the setting, select ‘General’ then ‘Reset Network Settings’.
• Jailbreak you phone again
• Try to restore your iPhone 4 by putting your phone in DFU mode. You can do it by plugging your phone into your computer and make sure that you have iTunes installed in it. You can use this method even if your phone is not yet jailbroken.
You have to press and then hold down the ‘Sleep’ button together with the ‘Home’ button. Press and then hold them for approximately 10 seconds. Don’t let the Apple logo to appear because this means that you have to repeat the process from the start.
Next is you have to release the ‘Sleep’ button but make sure that you are still pressing the ‘Home’ button for approximately five seconds. This time, make sure that you are not going to hold the button too long because the “Plus into iTunes” will appear and you have to start all over again.
Once the screen stays in black, this means that your phone is now in the DFU mode
iTunes must detect your iPhone. This will tell you that your phone needs restoration. You can now select your device and click ‘RESTORE’.
Unplug your device and restart it. Now, try to play sounds in your phone.
